SYNOPSIS: Raúl is thirteen and his life is rooted in the tough reality of Mexico's economical struggle, in physical work on the fields with his father, and in strong family values. Raúl has to accompany his father Juan to a business meeting with Juan's boss, a rich landowner. Juan reminds Raúl of the importance of the meeting and the possibility of finally getting an extra acre to till, allowing the family a better life. Raúl is to entertain the boss' son, Hernán, but the two boys are from completely different worlds and Hernán wants a share of Raúl's world. Raúl has to make a decision whether to stand up for himself or make a sacrifice for his father, family, and ultimately for his social class. Will Raúl behave and will his father get that desired John Deere?
